Green Marble is a metamorc rock composed of recrystallized carbonate minerals, most commonly calcite or dolomite. Marble may be foliated. Geologists use the term "marble" to refer to metamorsed limestone; however, stonemasons use the term more broadly to encompass metamorsed limestone.
