Alfa Laval MAB 103 oil purifier

The MAB 103 is widely used for purifying and clarifying mineral oils, low viscosity fuel oils (GO/MDO, MDO), engine oils, factory oils, and cleaning lubricating oils. It can also be used for synthetic oils in industrial applications. The Alfa Laval MAB 103 separator's rated capacity is 1,300 liters/hour (343 gallons/hour). For diesel oil (viscosity 13 cSt/40°C), a maximum capacity of 900 liters/hour (238 gallons/hour) is achievable.

The Alfa Laval MAB 104 is a solids-retaining centrifuge designed for clarifying or purifying mineral oils and fuels. It's used for separating contaminants from fuel and lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, running-in oils, and metalworking oils.

The MAB 104 is a disc stack centrifuge, which means that it separates components based on their density using centrifugal force. The contaminated oil is fed into the center of the bowl, and the centrifugal force separates it into three ses:

The heaviest components, such as solids and water, are forced outwards and collect at the periry of the bowl.

The lightest component, the oil, migrates towards the center of the bowl.

A liquid seal in the bowl prevents oil from escaping through the water outlet.

The accumulated sludge and solid particles are removed from the bowl regularly by hand. The oil is then discharged from the separator through a separate outlet.
