There are two (2) different cables. One cable is composed of twelve 50-ohm coax cables and the other is composed of twelve 75-ohm coax cables. These 12 coax cables need to be insket, but we are not going to require an overall shield around them, in addition to the jacket. We don't have any specific preference on the gauge size, but the following requirement might probably help in terms of suggesting the best gauge and coax cable for our application. SPECS: 1. > 1. The coax cables are going to carry the ors transducers to the processing units. So, the DC resistance (DCR) is very important for us. We have the following specifications, but please feel free to propose the coax cable with a gauge size that has the lowest DCR (with reasonable price). Max. DCR of the inner conductor: 20 ohm 100M (M: Meter) Max. DCR of the outer conductor: 2.6 ohm 100M 2. > 2. Another important spec for us is that the cables should be able to withstand temperatures as low as -50C (C: Celsius). The max temperature they can work normally should be at least 75C. We are still not sure which of these two cables we will finally choose, but we will need a total length of about 15, 000m (or more) of the chosen cable. 3. > If you don't have any specific recommendation for the coax cables, please give me a quote for a composite cable composed of twelve RG179 (which is 75 ohm) and also a composite cable composed of Twelve RG316 (which is 50 ohm). However, I believe there are coax cables with better (or lower) DCR with both 75 ohm and 50 ohm impedance. SAMPLES: Whom ever we purchase the cables from know this...We will need at lease 5 each of each cable type mentioned above.
