being a so-called rotary apparatus . The reaction between the gaseous oxidizing agent and the bitumen or other in the reactor is improved by generating turbulence by means of rotor-stator type
mixing devices which produce shear forces making it possible to obtain a good dispersion of the ‘oxidizing agent.
