Fresh Oranges, Tangerine/Mandarine

The tangerine is a group of orange-colored citrus fruit consisting of hybrids of mandarin orange. The name was first used for fruit coming from Tangier, Morocco, described as a mandarin variety. Under the Tanaka classification system, Citrus tangerine is considered a separate species  Mandarins are a class of oranges that are flatter on both ends, have a mild flavor and are very easy to peel. Tangerines and clementines are mandarins. Mandarins are usually available from November until March. Clementines are the smallest member of the mandarin family and are seedless.
